Position Title: BOP-Tools Tech

External Description:

We are currently seeking a BOP Technician.


  • Servicing all blow out preventers, pack offs, reel swivels, lubricators, iron and downhole tools (BPVs, etc.)
  • Performing and documenting all pressure tests for these components after service
  • Obtaining and maintaining an inventory of expendable materials and parts for these items
  • Organizing and maintaining the facility including the testing station and store room
  • Aiding management in developing a preventive maintenance system for these components
  • Assisting field personnel with job related problems associated with these components
  • Coordinating with the iron personnel at the District and the corporate level to track and document iron testing and inspection
  • Performing other duties as assigned 


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years experience working with Coiled Tubing and/or work that would include servicing BOPs and/or downhole tools
  • Experience in managing expendable materials inventory
  • Valid Class C drivers license and clean driving record
  • Good communication and organizational skill
