Position Title: HR Coord

External Description:

We are currently seeking a  Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator.   

This position provides assistance to the HR Manager involving various employee relations activities and
administrative duties. Work includes maintaining personnel files, addressing insurance and benefit issues,
providing appropriate communication on company policies and procedures and subject matters relating to 
all areas of human resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Administers human resources policies and procedures in an assigned location pertaining to all employee relations activities.
  • Facilitates data entry of new hires, rehires, transfers, status changes and terminations, as well as any other employee relations concerns.
  • Creates and maintains personnel files on all employees in the assigned location, including updating and verifying required information on I-9 files.
  • Facilitates the updating of all personnel data in Infinium to ensure all required information is provided and meeting established criteria.
  • Provides Workers’ Compensation with required wage information on injured employees as requested.
  • Serves as the point of contact for employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Processes criminal background checks on applicants to ensure they meet set criteria before the employment offers are finalized.
  • Provides appropriate responses to routine questions on benefit administration, benefit enrollments, identifying any potential issues and referring to Human Resources Manager for further handling.
  • May research and analyze data to assist in one or more of the following areas: recruiting, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Additional training from business or technical school is preferred.
  • A college degree in Human Resources or a related field is a plus.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of human resources experience.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and establish effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations in employment and employee relations.
